Community Guidelines & Acceptable Use
Last updated: 20 July 2026
These guidelines apply to everyone using RaceCopilot — the website, desktop app, mobile app, and any shared content such as car setups or radio transcripts. They sit alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Breaking them can lead to content removal, feature limits, suspension, or a permanent ban.
1. Play fair
- Use RaceCopilot for your own sim racing. One account per person; don't share or resell access.
- Don't abuse the free tier — creating multiple accounts or spoofing devices to dodge limits is not allowed.
- Don't attempt to exceed, bypass, or manipulate usage limits, credits, or billing.
2. Prohibited conduct
You may not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code, models, prompts, or strategy logic of RaceCopilot, or defeat any technical protection. This is strictly forbidden and will result in a ban.
- Copy, scrape, redistribute, or resell any part of the software, API, prompts, or data.
- Access the service through unofficial clients, bots, or automated scripts, or hammer our APIs.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems, or breach any security or authentication measure, without prior written permission.
- Interfere with or disrupt the service, servers, or other users (DDoS, injection, credential stuffing, etc.).
- Upload malware, or content that is illegal, infringing, hateful, harassing, or that impersonates others.
- Share setups or content you don't have the right to distribute.
3. Shared content (setups, transcripts)
- You keep ownership of what you upload, but grant us a licence to host and display it within the service.
- Public setups must be genuine and safe (plain data — no executable payloads or misleading files).
- We may remove content that breaks these guidelines or that other users report, at our discretion.
4. Security research
We welcome good-faith security reports. If you believe you've found a vulnerability, email [email protected] before disclosing or testing further. Do not access other users' data or degrade the service. Good-faith, coordinated disclosure will not be penalised.
5. Enforcement
Depending on severity, violations may result in a warning, content removal, feature or rate limits, account suspension, or a permanent ban — with no refund for the remaining subscription period where a ban results from a serious breach (such as reverse engineering, fraud, or abuse). Serious or illegal activity may be reported to the relevant authorities. We may update these guidelines as the product evolves; continued use means you accept the current version.
